Kapalabhati Pranayama is a mouthful to say but a huge benefit to your body, particularly during this spring season. It’s known as the skull shining breath, skull brightener breath, or even the breath of fire.
Consider how winter affects most of us: we instinctively want to hunker down, curl up, eat warm, nourishing foods, and hibernate in our own home. Now consider how spring shifts this internal focus outward: we instinctively want to throw our arms wide, skip out of the house, laugh and smile as we look up at the beaming sun, take in the new blooms, and eat juicy, crisp, and lighter fare.
